ACTIONS Following in the footsteps of Blessed Jeanne Jugan for more than 160 years, the Little Sisters of the Poor welcome the poorest elderly in family-like Homes on the five continents, seeking to respond to their profound aspirations: Desire to be respected, esteemed and loved; Desire for freedom and privacy, without an apprehension of solitude; Need for security, in health and in sickness, until death. Longing to be acknowledged and valued within the family, society and the Church. OBJECTIVES 2007 To continue the adaptation and the modernization of our Homes in order to comply more and more with regulations and the present needs. To extend our presence in the most underprivileged countries. To promote respect for life.
